Conversations Unplugged

with Dave Pascoe

Dave Pascoe takes more than 200 supplements a day, runs extensive blood panels every month, and regularly measures everything from epigenetic age to his microbiome and brain health. A few years ago, that approach helped place him near the top of the Rejuvenation Olympics, a leaderboard focused on biological aging. But Dave’s real interest is not the ranking. He treats his own body like an ongoing experiment, testing new approaches, tracking the data, and keeping what appears to work for him. In this conversation with STEMREGEN Founder and Chief Science Officer Christian Drapeau, Dave shares how he separates signal from noise in a longevity routine that leaves almost no possibility unexplored.

With so many variables in play, identifying what is actually making a difference can be difficult. Dave says he now uses artificial intelligence to analyze his biomarkers, looking at trends over time rather than relying solely on how he feels. He also follows published research closely and experiments with approaches inspired by longevity studies, while acknowledging that much of the research he encounters is still preclinical. STEMREGEN has remained part of his routine, although Dave is careful about attributing any single outcome to it because he uses multiple regenerative approaches at the same time.

That focus on regeneration became especially relevant after an unexpected shoulder surgery in India. Dave says he had been dealing with severe shoulder damage and bone spurs that repeatedly aggravated the surrounding tissue. Rather than undergo the total shoulder replacement he had been advised to consider, he chose surgery to remove the bone spurs. The procedure went well, but when he returned home, he learned that one head of his biceps had been detached during surgery and had not been reattached. Despite that surprise, Dave reports having full mobility and no pain in the surgically treated shoulder itself, although the unattached area of the biceps can still cause discomfort.

Dave is continuing to explore regenerative approaches as he works on his shoulder, and Christian suggests increasing his STEMREGEN Release protocol for a period of two months. For someone who has built his life around measurement, experimentation, and constant refinement, it becomes one more variable to watch closely. Dave’s approach to longevity is intensely personal: test broadly, measure repeatedly, question assumptions, and pay attention to what the data shows over time. Even after years of experimentation, he is still searching for the next insight that might help him stay healthier for longer.
